Helicopter Firefighting
Each fire season, Utility helicopters proudly deploys our fleet of National Aerial Firefighting Centre (NAFC) accredited and approved helicopters from our bases across Australia into some of the most severely affected fire areas, providing 24/7 critical air support to the firefighting effort over extended fire campaigns.
BARS accredited, Utility Helicopters are able to offer resources for aerial support operations in times of emergencies, working closely to support the community in conjunction with:
- NSW Rural Fire Service
- NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service
- Tasmanian Fire Service
- Victoria Country Fire Authority (CFA)
- South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS)
- Queensland Fire and Rescue (QFRS)
Our ability to service and maintain our aircraft both in the field and after hours ensures we remain on task to provide our helicopters and experienced pilots for a wide variety of services including Water and Retardant Bombing, Air attack, Fire reconnaissance and mapping, Fuel solutions, Evacuation, Supply drops, Livestock fodder drops and post fire impact assessments.
