A non-commercial licence without restrictions on passenger numbers, or distance. This certification permits recreational flying, including exploring scenic landscapes, transportation for personal trips, and enjoying the thrill of aviation with friends and family.
Utility Helicopters offers training in a variety of aircraft, or if you own your own helicopter, you can use it for all your flight training.
We want you to achieve success and will do what it takes to ensure you become a safe pilot, building the confidence and skills you need to fly.
To obtain a PPL(H) you must:
- Be at least 17 years of age at the time of your flight test
- Complete at least 40 hours of flight training
- Undertake an English language assessment
- Pass Class 2 medical assessment prior to going solo
- Hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) prior to your first solo
- Pass the PPL helicopter theory exam
- Pass the PPL flight test
